Miseka Diggs

Miseka Diggs is a directly impacted social worker, researcher and advocate dedicated to advancing racial justice and transforming the criminal legal system through healing, equity and community-led solutions. Drawing from her lived experience with incarceration, Miseka has turned adversity into purpose by using her personal journey to advocate for systemic change and expand opportunities for individuals, families and communities impacted by the criminal legal system. She is committed to advancing evidence-informed, trauma-responsive approaches that promote healing, reduce recidivism and strengthen communities. Miseka recently graduated with honors from Rutgers University-Newark with a bachelor of arts in social work and social justice. She is currently pursuing her MSW at Rutgers-Newark to continue to build her expertise in policy, research and community practice.
