Ban The Box

Amplify produced a TED Talk-style video featuring NAACP President Cornell William Brooks, who spoke about the nationwide movement to “ban the box” on job applications that ask applicants to check a box if they have any prior criminal history even if they were arrested but never convicted of a crime. The MacArthur Foundation selected the Amplify video as a finalist in MacArthur’s national Looking @ Democracy competition.
